A verse for today

Zech. 12:10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.

Y'shua made me kosher!

Who is Y'shua and how can He make anyone kosher?

Most people assume that Y'shua (Jesus) has nothing to do with being kosher, but that's not true. Y'shua is the most Jewish of Jews: He was born in Israel to Jewish parents from King David's royal family. He was circumcised on the eighth day. He was a rabbi who did unparalleled miracles that brought great blessing to the nation of Israel. He taught that He fulfilled, not set aside, the Torah.

Even though He died nearly 2000 years ago, Y'shua was raised from the dead; He returned to life and overcame death! He is the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world. He is the coming world ruler and mankind's only hope. He is the only one who can make us kosher (clean, fit, proper) in God's sight because He is completely kosher in the eyes of God. He alone is the one who can enable both Jews and Gentiles to have a kosher relationship with God, and with one another. Only Y'shua can give genuine peace and joy in this life, and eternal life in the world to come.

Y'shua makes me kosher?

Y'shua is able to make us kosher because He fulfills the ancient Biblical prophecies about the Messiah, and because He came back to life after He died. This was not reincarnation, rather it was resurrection. More...

What is the second line of evidence that Y'shua is the Messiah?

There is the evidence of the empty tomb. Both Jewish and Roman authorities admitted that His tomb was empty (see Matthew 28:11-15). All that the authorities (who were hostile to Y'shua) would have had to do to crush the Messianic movement in its infancy, would have been to produce Y'shua's body. They never did. More...

If Y'shua really is the resurrected Messiah, what are the implications?

Y'shua's resurrection is the most important event in history. Y'shua's resurrection proves that He is the Messiah, since God would never allow a liar, deceiver, or false Messiah to be resurrected. More...

If I believe in Y'shua, won't I lose my Jewishness?

No you won't! If you are Jewish, God made you a Jew and no one can ever change that. Since Y'shua is the Jewish Messiah, then believing in Him is the most Jewish thing that you could do. Faith in Y'shua is kosher, no matter what some people may say because truth is determined by God - not by a majority vote. How could believing in the Jewish Messiah foretold by Jewish prophets in the Jewish Scriptures ...make me into a Gentile?

Can Y'shua make a gentile kosher too?

If you are a Gentile, Y'shua can make you kosher too! He came to reach His own Jewish people first, and God wants people from all nations to believe in Israel's Messiah. Through Him you too can have a kosher heart, and be in a right relationship with the God of Israel. It doesn't mean you have to become a Jew, but rather that you follow the God of the Jews!

Then what should I do?

1) You should acknowledge God's awesome love for you
2) You should repent of the many sins you have committed against Him for which He would be justified in punishing you.
3) You should ask God to forgive you in Y'shua's name for these sins and those you don't even know about just now.
4) You should ask Jesus to be your Savior and deliverer and Lord, and ask Him to fill your life with His Spirit. Ask Him to make you born again. And in that moment He will do it!
5) You should believe in your heart that God raised Y'shua from the dead, and verbalize it, saying "Y'shua is Lord"
