A Story of God’s Faithfulness

A Story of God’s Faithfulness

by James White, Sydney

After seven years, I unexpectedly reconnected with a man named Dovid*. A year ago, I was invited to a Shabbat dinner at his home through a mutual friend. When I arrived, his wife Nari immediately recognized my voice. She reminded me that we had actually met six years earlier at a birthday party, when their son was just a year old. She even showed me a photo we had taken together that day!

After I moved overseas, Dovid and I stayed in touch. He was curious about my faith because, to him, “Jews don’t believe in Jesus.” I shared with him that not only do I believe, but so do many of my fellow Jews for Jesus. I explained that Jesus Himself was Jewish, as were all His disciples and the earliest believers.

Dovid’s wife is a Christian, but until then he hadn’t thought deeply about her faith. Our conversations went back and forth, and eventually he told me: “If I’m to believe, I need three signs. Can God do that?” I encouraged him to ask the Lord—and amazingly, he received all three signs!

Recently, Dovid joyfully said “yes” to Yeshua. I had the privilege of baptizing him, and now he is overflowing with joy. His life has been transformed, and he has even asked me to share with his mother.

This is a beautiful reminder that God still pursues hearts, answers prayers, and draws people to Himself in ways only He can.
